Lapsit Storytime is shorter with playtime at the end and focuses on repetition

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Children's reading success in kindergartenn and beyond begins with positive reading experiences in infancy and early childhood. Parents and caregivers may register any child between the ages of 0-6. Completed reading logs will qualify for prizes! Please stop in to register soon.
Read to Dogs
This program provides a relaxed atmosphere in which children can strengthen reading skills while boosting confidence in their reading. Look for the Read to Dog signup sheet at the Children's Dept. Desk.
After School Library Club
The After School Club (8 to 11 year olds) meets once a month for snacks, games, crafts, movies and more--everything is tied to a theme of the day. Registration required.
Movie and Pizza
Join us for movie and a pizza on the school scheduled holidays. The movie title and date of event will be announced on the library calendar.
Teen Book Club
Teen Girl's Book Club meets every Thursday after school for discussion, crafts, field trips, and more.
The 4-5 Workshop
The 4-5 Workshop meets once a month after school. Featuring a popular YA book, an assortment of activities (individual as well as team competitions) involve challenges, crafts, games, and more. Register at the Main Desk.
Teen Book Trailer Workshop
A monthly video workshop where teens create book trailers for best loved books. Publication highlights to appear on the library website.
Teen Book - to - Movie Cinema
A movie series for teens featuring the most popular book-to-movie features. Scheduled monthly (with snacks)
Books Between Bites
Join us once a month (Jan-May, Sept and Oct.) to share your thoughts with others about the month's Book Club book. Both fiction and non-fiction books are included in the monthly selections. Register at the Main Desk so a copy can be reserved for you.

Adult / Seniors Programming
Mah Jong games are offered Wednesdays from 1-3 in the Main Reading Area of the library.
Midday Seniors Games & Cards
Midday Seniors games and cards are offered at the Lexington Community Center on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at noon. No reservation is required.
A Senior's Movie is presented the first Wednesday of each month. Join us at the Lexington Community Center for a feature film and popcorn. No Reservation is required.
New Books Display
A display of the most recent library acquisitions is presented the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Lexington Community Center. You may check out materials at that time.
